Office Manager 

Egli Landscapes is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Manager to assist with Accounting and Human Resources. There is nothing more rewarding than collaborating with a motivated team and showing clients what service is all about.

We pay above standards, and there is also much room for growth! Profit-sharing is available for well-performing, dependable team members who reach agreed-upon goals.

Job Details:  $35,000 – 43,000 / year, based on experience

Employment Type:  Full-Time, Salaried with paid time off for the whole month of January each year

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Office Management
      • Streamline office organization, priorities, deadlines, work flows, reporting, and the documentation of company policies and procedures
      • Develop and maintain a variety of databases, including confidential and non-routine information
      • Communicate with clients daily by phone, email and mail
      • Keep accurate records and filing of client & vendor information
      • Track and confirm receipts 
      • Maintain and update Facebook page and company website
      • Develop and present PowerPoint samples of landscape projects as requested
    • Accounting 
      • Execute daily routines, such as invoices, payments, deposits and post office drop offs
      • Keep accurate records using QuickBooks Online, including accounts receivable, payable, billings, and payroll
      • Gather and maintain data and support requests from outside CPA, alongside Owner
      • Prepare and review reviewing monthly cash flow and internal reports, alongside Owner
  • Human Resources
      • Keep accurate records and filing of company personnel and HR binder
      • Ensure all team members adhere to current policies
      • Spearhead policy change by suggesting additions and revisions when necessary
      • Effectively implement new policies
    • Teamwork & Community Presence
      • Embody our core values (Attitude, Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Commitment), policies and standards
      • Report directly to Owner
      • Collaborate with a motivated team of members, leaders, mangers, admin staff and clients
      • Communicate consistently and build strong relationships with the Owner, Operations Manager and the Landscape Management Network (LMN)
      • Maintain and grow relationships with members, clients and vendors
      • Bring suggestions for improvement to every weekly meeting

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ​​Excels at Math and Job Planning 
  • Computer Skills: Email, MS Office, various database software, such as QuickBooks *or ability to pass training course
  • Excited to contribute positively to our Landscape Design & Architecture community
  • Excellent abilities in: initiative, independence, multitasking, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and communication (oral and written)
  • Insatiable energy to learn and be challenged
  • Curiosity to explore new things, form new skills and meet new people
  • Proven track record helping others succeed
  • Valid Iowa Driver’s License (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
    • Insurable by our agent

Preferred

  • Associates degree in Business or related field
  • Prior experience in Office Management & Administration
  • Prior HR experience
